Tea & Qigong
“The first bowl washed the cobwebs from my mind –
The whole world seemed to sparkle.
A second cleansed my spirit
Like purifying showers of rain,
A third and I was one of the Immortals –
What need now for austerities
To purge our human sorrows?”“The Way of Tea” by Jiaoran 730-799
Lee offers a unique blended session of Qigong practice, meditation and tea-sharing.
Qigong gently takes us out of overthinking selves and returns us to a place of embodied awareness. As we open our joints and promote the flow of Qi (vital energy) through our channels, the body becomes more receptive and we relate more naturally and spontaneously to life.
This dovetails beautifully with tea drinking and sharing. According to the nature of the group and the season of the year, Lee will select and curate teas especially for the occasion and prepare them in the traditional Chinese (gongfu) style.
Together we will sit and experience the beauty of tea-sharing in a natural and effortless way – sharing stories and sensations – deepening our human connection to ourselves, each other and the world around us.
