About

JP Sensei | Lee WillocksLee is a certified 500-hour advanced yoga teacher.  She studied classical yoga in India at the Santhi Yoga Institute in Kerala, the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai and at the Ayur Yoga Eco Ashram in Mysore.

She has a particular interest in somatic movement and accessing the innate wisdom of the body through yoga.  She has been very fortunate to have trained with inspirational teachers Aki Omori and Donna Farhi, and continues her exploration through daily practice.

Lee is also a certified Meditation Teacher and a registered Relax & Renew Teacher®, having trained in restorative yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater.

Lee came to Qigong in 2010 through her shiatsu training, finding it an indispensable practice for cultivating and restoring energy. She has since continued to extend and deepen her practice, as well as establishing ways in which it can complement and enhance yoga.

In 2018 Lee stumbled upon the traditional method of Chinese tea-making, known as gongfu cha. Impressed by the natural way in which gongfu cha supports the exploration of the body-mind connection, Lee continues to educate herself on the ritual of tea, through training and personal practice. She is especially interested in sharing tea in a way that honours the land, traditions and roots of tea-culture – and, of course, the tea plant itself.

Lee is also a qualified Shiatsu Therapist and holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Oxford University.
